Mersen’s Compact Fused Disconnect incorporates the switch functionality with the high protection level of a fuse. The switch accepts UL class CC fuses up to 30A. In addition to this, the Compact Fused Disconnect is UL 98 listed and suitable for use as main/feeder device and, in conjunction with CC fuses, is rated for branch circuit protection. It has a smaller footprint compared to a traditional Class CC disconnect with a max interrupting rating of 200kA.

A new requirement was introduced in the 2018 CEC related to use of flexible conduit in hazardous locations.   Wiring methods where liquid-tight is permitted in hazardous locations now require the conduit to be approved and marked as ‘HEAVY DUTY’.  In order to meet this new requirement the liquid-tight must meet additional tests related crush, tensile strength and fitting pull-out strength.   Conduits and fittings that meet this standard are required to be marked as ‘Heavy Duty’ or ‘HD’. With SNAP IN, installation and maintenance work can be performed as quickly as snapping your fingers. nVent RAYCHEM HTV self-regulating heating cable is designed for freeze protection or process temperature maintenance of pipes and vessels up to 205°C continuously, with a maximum exposure temperature of 260°C.
